Fountain Rocks is an exposed reef off Port Alfred and below are some of the many dive sites in and around the Fountain Rocks Chain

This is a horse shoe shaped gully, getting its name from the many potholes that are scattered around the reef.
When you sit at the bottom of these potholes and look up you get the feeling of being inside a fish tank.
At the top end of the gully we have a cave which is visited by Ragged Tooth Sharks frequenting our area.

Is located just North of Fish Tanks, it is characterised by a long wall running along its Southern boundary with lots of broken reef and swim throughs.
We find lots of big fish and rays in this area.

Lionfish
A fun site to dive because of the huge Sea Fans found in the area, a little more exposed to the sea so it can only be dived in a calm sea on a west wind.

Sunfish
This site is unique in our area, with massive pinnacles running parallel to each other and sandy gullies in between.
The reef is long and narrow and gets its name from an old ships anchor chain that is draped over the main pinnacle.
We also have a huge ships anchor lying on the reef about 60m from the main pinnacle

On a good dive we often see up to 30 raggies.

The name is misleading and the area actually consists of a number of gullies caves and overhangs.

This reef starts at 14 meters and drops to 24 meters .
Pinnacles bloom with soft corals and other colourful marine life.
Anchor Cave is situated under the reef and this is without question the most colourful site in the immediate Port Alfred area.

This colourful reef lies off the Three Sisters headlands and promises corals in abundance and size.

Due to strong currents in the area this is considered an advanced dive. Conditions permitting this is considered a must dive.

We always tell people to imagine their best dive and multiply it by 3 to equal Riet Point.
