As a Dive Control Specialist you can lead and guide certified divers, assist SSI Instructors in the classroom, pool and open water, teach skills in the classroom and pool under the indirect supervision of an SSI Instructor (except the emergency skills), teach the SSI Scuba Skills Update program, the SSI Snorkeling programme, and the SSI Try Scuba programme.

To join one of our Dive Control Specialist programmes, the following pre-requisites apply:

•  You must be at least 18 years of age
• Have a diving medical exam by a licensed medical practitioner
• You must own your own dive gear of professional type and quality
• Be certified as a Divemaster or equivalent
• Logged no less than 60 open water dives
